OUR STORY
As divers, surfers and general outdoor sports enthusiasts, we hardly go a day without sunscreen.

For decades, we find that most water sport sunscreens are difficult to remove from skin and, a lot of time, lead to clogged pores (especially when reapplied several times). The remaining residues on the skin result in acne, or a very sticky feeling on the skin at the very least.
Then we thought 'why isn't there a way to wipe sunscreen off our skin completely and easily?'

RECOGNISING OUR PROBLEMS
We love spending time with the nature and wish its beauty and purity to last for our future generations. Having been involved with a few ocean conservation programmes, we are aware of how largely plastic pollution has an impact on our ocean.
We learned that a majority of wipes, though claim to be made of natural material, has a large mixture of plastic resins like polypropylene, polyethylene and polyester. They are a major contribution to blockage of wastewater pipes, interfering with wastewater treatment system. This is critical and is responsible for removing contaminants and converting it to "effluent" water which can be reused or has minimum impact on the environment when being released into a body of water.

Also, if used wipes with plastic resins end up in the ocean, they will never breakdown or biodegrade. They will become an addition to ocean rubbish and could also end up entangling corals or get eaten by sea animals, causing them harm.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Our biodegradable wipes are made from 100% natural fibre
with zero plastic fibre.
While a lot of other biodegradable wipes actually take a few weeks to disintegrate, WAVES wipes disintegrate fast once in contact with water. Therefore, our wipes will not end up clogging wastewater pipes or become harmful to marine life and their ecosystem.
Our wipes must not affect wastewater treatment system nor contribute to plastic pollution problem.

We have designed a product which is though on sunscreens but kind to the skin and also nourishes the skin at the same time. For this reason, we have chosen to use micellar water as the main cleansing agent. It is proven to be safe and gentle enough for very sensitive skin as well as in children.

Our carefully selected natural extracts have their own distinct roles and work together harmoniously.
